Oldenburg Rondekop Stone Axe 2017

Oldenburg Vineyards have it all. A stunning, off the beaten track location, a unique & extraordinary terroir and their own microclimate. They have a minimal intervention philosophy and believe that great wine is natural and starts with the elements of the surrounding oceans, mountains, cool breezes and soils.

A deep, royal purple shows in the glass. On the nose, white chocolate, lavender, jasmine and red pepper, with vanilla, tobacco and sandalwood. The palate shows a slight sweet toffee note, along with mocha and a delicious smokiness. A long finish is matched by an balanced acidity and plushy tannins.
